Salary Range for this position is $43,812 - $49,272 annually (DOE)

Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Administrative Services Manager, the Mail Processing Driver Lead will be responsible for operation and maintenance of the campus mail room.
This position is governed by a collective bargaining agreement with representation by WFSE.

What You Will Be Working On
- Delivers, collects and sorts mail and packages including bulk, insured, registered, certified, and regular mail
- Oversees mail routes and delivery stops and recommend route changes
- Uses forklift, powered pallet jack, hand trucks, dollies, and mail carts in the transport of materials
- Delivers, collects and processes mail and loads and unloads vehicles
- Operate, adjust, and maintain high speed labeling machines
- Complete and file necessary forms with the U.S. Postal Service
- Maintains production records; produces periodic reports
- Updates mail equipment hardware/software per internal guidelines
- Delivers library, building and office supplies, laboratory specimens, audio-visual equipment, tapes, books, U.S. and campus mail, and motor pool vehicles
- May make daily deliveries and pickups to off-site locations
- Manage and maintain the campus Archive Rooms
- Answer phone inquiries and dispatch Facilities services as necessary
- Coordinate pickup and disposal of campus waste streams, including recycling and confidential shredding.
What You Bring As a Candidate
- High school graduation or equivalent, possession of a valid unrestricted motor vehicle operator¿s license, and two years of experience rating, sorting and distributing mail. Successful completion of provided Forklift Certification course within 60 days of hire.
- Ability to perform range of physical motions, physically handle, sort, and deliver mail, parcels, and packages which may involve lifting and bundling; exerting up to 50 pounds; lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds; standing, walking, sitting for long periods of time, kneeling, squatting, and stooping; and traversing up and down stairs.
