Job Details
Description
At Seattle Gymnastics Academy, we strive to build strength, skill and character through gymnastics. And we believe these traits, and gymnastics, is for everyone - including adults!
Our Adult Gymnastics & Conditioning classes for ages 18 are some of our most popular and requested, and we are looking for coaches to support the high demand for this unique and fun program.
Our Adult Gymnastics & Conditioning Coaches guide participants through the same conditioning techniques and drills as our gymnasts, helping them to accomplish their own goals. Coaches tailor training for each participant’s ability, as we welcome all skill levels of participants, including new beginners.
This is a great opportunity for someone with gymnastics experience / knowledge and experience in coaching or personal training to take on a truly exciting and special program!
SGA Coaches must demonstrate a commitment to teaching skills in a safe, positive and progressive approach.
Please note this position requires evening availability in order to meet our adult participants' schedules.
SGA offers:
- A priority for a work/life balance. We have closures and breaks for most holidays and / or school breaks, so that both our gymnasts and staff are able to spend time with family and friends and relax.
- Competitive pay & comprehensive benefits package, which includes health insurance, Health Savings Account, 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Ownership Plan, Paid Time Off, Paid Family Leave and more!

- Discounts for class tuition and academic preschool enrollment for immediate family members.
- Energetic work environment with plenty of opportunities for career growth.
SGA Coaches are responsible for:
- Creating your own lesson plans that are purposeful and in alignment with participants' abilities. We provide abundant resources and fully supported, continuous training, but you get to be creative in how you want to teach your classes. We offer state of the art equipment – both on the gymnastics floor and technology- so you have the tools you need to be successful.
- A consistency in attendance of their class schedules (once set). We work with coaches to ensure classes are on days and times that are compatible with personal schedules, and in return we ask that coaches honor the commitments to their students to the best of their ability.
- Tracking skill development and communicating with your participants.
- Participating in our paid training opportunities. This can include our SGA University courses, USA Gymnastics clinics, sessions offered by our in-house SGA trainers, and more!
