- Minimum one year of experience in office support, clerical, or customer service.
- Equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.
- Document Imaging experience (preferred).
- Prior experience in mail processing (preferred).
- Assist customers professionally, positively, and sensitively in accordance with SHA standards and values.
- Help applicants, participants, and residents understand HUD and SHA rules, programs, services, and processes; assist with completing required documents.
- Schedule appointments for clients to meet with program staff.
- Complete third-party verifications and background checks for participant eligibility.
- Perform timely and accurate data entry.
- Maintain printed resources regarding housing programs for public or participant education.
- Perform various record management duties.
- Carry out basic office support functions.
- Process and deliver USPS mail and inter-/intra-office mail accurately and timely.
- Perform minor office equipment upkeep and ensure office supplies are stocked.
- Participate in developing goals, work plans, performance measures, and service delivery improvements.
- Work respectfully and courteously with others; follow direction and work well under pressure.
- Attend required training and safety meetings; use and maintain personal protective equipment; report injuries, illnesses, and hazardous conditions; follow safety guidelines.
