Under the supervision of a Grounds Supervisor, perform a variety of duties as directed within the field of general landscaping. The ideal candidate should have: 

• Experience performing general groundskeeping, or manual work involving construction or maintenance.
• Valid Washington state driver’s license

What will you do?

1. Operate power equipment, such as riding and push lawn mowers, blowers, weed eaters, hedge trimmers, edgers, and 4 wheel all purpose vehicles.
2. Performs routine landscaping such as mowing, trimming, weeding and watering grass, flowers and shrubbery. Lawn restoration: spread bark gravel, and soil.
3. May maintain and repair automatic grounds sprinkler systems.
4. Wash and maintain grounds equipment.
5. Remove paper, trash and rubbish from facilities and grounds.
6. Attend all required training and safety meetings: use, maintain and replace assigned personal protective equipment; report all injuries and illnesses to supervisor immediately; complete and submit incident accident report as required; report hazardous conditions or unsafe work practices to supervisor; and follow all safety and health guidelines, practices, policies and procedures. Monitor and enforce the agency's Safety and Health Program and actively support and participate in Emergency Preparedness tasks.
