Job Title : 2025 Seasonal Grounds Crew

Department : Ballpark Operations

Reports To : Manager of Groundskeeping

Status : Seasonal, Nonexempt

This position is expected to last the duration of the regular baseball season or subject to change due to business needs. This position may have a start date as early as the middle of January 2025 and may end as late as early November 2025. Any applicants with a Turf Management Degree or currently in process to obtain such a degree will receive additional attention

Primary Objective : Responsible for support, coordination, and assistance of groundskeeping for baseball games and other events. A strong ability to work well with co-workers and supervisors in a team environment is expected.

Essential Functions :

Assist with cultural practices to the playing field : mowing, aeration, topdressing, sodding, edging, etc.

Assist with fertilizer calibrations to efficiently apply foliar and granular products to the field.

Maintain all dirt areas to MLB Specifications : Game mound, home plate, bullpen mounds, infield dirt, baselines, and warning track.

Assist in field painting : foul lines, coaches' boxes, logos, etc.

Maintain a well-organized, clean shop as well as maintain all field equipment.

Maintain all exterior flowers and landscape : includes watering, fertilizing, and weed control.

Assist with a wide-range of non-baseball events on field throughout the year.

Will Perform any other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience :

Must be 18 years or older.

Experience in turf management preferred.

Previous experience working on baseball fields preferred.

Physical Activities and Working Conditions :

Ability to lift, carry and transport up to 50 lbs.

Available to work flexible hours including days, nights, holidays, and weekends.

The Mariners are committed to providing competitive pay, perks, and benefits packages for our valued Team Members.The anticipated starting pay for this seasonal role is between $23.46- $23.97 per hour.

All perks are subject to eligibility requirements and availability and may be modified or amended from time to time.
