Job Title : Associate General Counsel
Department : Legal / Government Relations
Reports To : SVP & General Counsel
Status : Exempt
Primary Objective : Serves under the general oversight of the General Counsel(GC). The Associate General Counsel (AGC) serves in this position consistent with the attorney-client relationship. The AGC is responsible for assisting the GC and Deputy General Counsel (DGC)in providing legal advice, counsel, and representation to the organization, including in the areas of contract negotiations, dispute resolution, internal investigations,compliance, policies and procedures, and intellectual property matters.The AGC also may oversee or support various programs as assigned by the GC, and represent the company in external legal, government, and community relations matters.
Essential Functions :
- Provide general legal representation and advice tothe company, including in the areas of contract negotiations, dispute resolution, internal investigations,compliance, policies and procedures, intellectual property matters, and other matters as needed.
- Draft and review contracts and other agreements, including in collaboration with other departments.
- Assist the GC and DGC with maintainingthe organizational compliance program.
- Strategize with the GC and DGC to identify and mitigate risks to the organization.
- Support the GC and DGC inlitigation-related activities, including assisting outside counsel and collaborating with MLB when appropriate.
- Provide legal counsel regarding venue operations, including risk management and mitigation advice, training, and policy formation.
- Represent the company in external matters concerning legal and community relations issues.
- Defend the company in legal disputes and claims.
- Provide support for legal issues relating to the minor league, spring training, and international operations of the organization.
- Will perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience :
Bachelor’s degree and graduation from an accredited law schoolrequired.A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in either a law firm or in-house corporate environment.Member in good standing of the Washington State Bar.Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s) :

The anticipated starting pay for this role is between $195,000-$220,000. All perks are subject to eligibility requirements and availability and may be modified or amended from time to time.
Salary : $195,000 - $220,000
