Job Title : Software Development Engineer (SDE) – Front End
Department : Baseball Operations
Reports To : Director – Baseball Systems
Status : Exempt
Primary Objective : We are seeking a Software Development Engineer – Front-End to join our team and help bring our Baseball Systems to life. As a Software Development Engineer – Front-End, you will be responsible for designing and developing user interfaces for our systems, as well as creating data visualizations to help our organization make informed decisions. With a focus on delivering a visually appealing and user-friendly experience, you will play a key role in ensuring that our systems are accessible and easy to use for all members of the organization. With your expertise in front-end design and data visualization, you will help make our team’s information accessible to a wide range of users including executives, coaches, and players. Essential Functions :
- Design and develop new applications and features.
- Help improve the user experience of our internal applications.
- Create and maintain a common look and feel across our internal applications.
- Support other members of the team in implementing new features.
- Collect requirements and implement features from analysts and non-technical users.
- Identify and correct application bugs quickly.
- Document code and support procedures thoroughly.
- Work closely with analysts to develop new features.
- Maintain existing software applications.
- Adhere to coding best practices and stay up to date on frontend technologies.
Education and Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, business, or a related field required. Experience may be considered in lieu of formal education if approved by management.Experience in software, architecture, development, specifically.Experience with more than one and a working knowledge of all the following key technologies : Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, C#, SQL, Typescript, RESTful Web Services, D3, Figma, Git.Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s) :
