Job Title : Software Development Engineer (SDE) – Front End

Department : Baseball Operations

Reports To : Director – Baseball Systems

Status : Exempt

Primary Objective : We are seeking a Software Development Engineer – Front-End to join our team and help bring our Baseball Systems to life. As a Software Development Engineer – Front-End, you will be responsible for designing and developing user interfaces for our systems, as well as creating data visualizations to help our organization make informed decisions. With a focus on delivering a visually appealing and user-friendly experience, you will play a key role in ensuring that our systems are accessible and easy to use for all members of the organization. With your expertise in front-end design and data visualization, you will help make our team’s information accessible to a wide range of users including executives, coaches, and players. Essential Functions :

  • Design and develop new applications and features.
  • Help improve the user experience of our internal applications.
  • Create and maintain a common look and feel across our internal applications.
  • Support other members of the team in implementing new features.
  • Collect requirements and implement features from analysts and non-technical users.
  • Identify and correct application bugs quickly.
  • Document code and support procedures thoroughly.
  • Work closely with analysts to develop new features.
  • Maintain existing software applications.
  • Adhere to coding best practices and stay up to date on frontend technologies.

Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, business, or a related field required. Experience may be considered in lieu of formal education if approved by management.
  • Experience in software, architecture, development, specifically.
  • Experience with more than one and a working knowledge of all the following key technologies : Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, C#, SQL, Typescript, RESTful Web Services, D3, Figma, Git.

  • The Mariners are committed to providing competitive pay, perks, and benefits packages for our valued Team Members.The anticipated starting pay for this role is between $110-$125,000.All perks are subject to eligibility requirements and availability and may be modified or amended from time to time.

    Salary : $110,000 - $125,000
