What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced, Reliable Infant Nanny Needed for Mercer Island Family #JR0201 position at Seattle Nanny Parent Connection?
Experienced, Reliable Infant Nanny Needed for Mercer Island Family
#JR0201
DETAILS:
Location: North End of Mercer Island, WA
Ideal Start Date: April/May 2025 (ASAP)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, typically 40-45 hours
per week
Children: Three children ages newborn, 5, and 7 years old.
Compensation: $34-36/hr depending on experience and qualifications,
with guaranteed hours, paid time off, paid federal holidays, accrued paid
sick time, and overtime pay for any hours worked over 40 in a week. A
family car provided for use on the job.
One year minimum commitment is required, but longer term would
be ideal. The family anticipates needing nanny care until their
newborn goes to preschool.
The Family:
This loving family of four (soon to be five in May 2025!) is seeking a
proactive, caring nanny/household manager to partner with! By welcoming
a household manager into their home, this family hopes to keep their home
running smoothly as they welcome their new baby in May. They have two
children who attend elementary school. To note, the older children will
require more care over the summers and during any school breaks.
Mom primarily needs support with basic household management tasks
such as keeping rooms, kitchen, and other common spaces tidied and
organized, family laundry, and childcare. Meal prep/cooking help isn’t
required, but would be a bonus if that’s something their provider is
interested in. Child care would either be for the two older children or the
baby at any given time. To note, from February-September 2025 care will
only be needed for the older children (mom is on maternity leave during
that time).
The mother sees this as almost a co-parenting role where someone can
partner with her to divide and conquer whether that is household tasks, or
helping with the older children if she is busy with the baby.
The family has cleaners come in every week; there are no pets in the
home.
The Job Description:
The caregiver will be responsible for ensuring a safe, nurturing and loving
environment for the children while helping the family maintain the smooth
functioning of their home.
