* Location: Magnolia neighborhood of Seattle, WA
* Ideal Start Date: end of February 2025
* Schedule: Monday-Friday 10a-4p minimum, or 8/9 until 4pm; 40 hours per week ideal but could make due with fewer hours if the nanny would like
* Children: 1 year old boy (older boy wouldn’t require care- preschool is year round)
* Compensation: $35-38/hour with guaranteed hours with paid time off, and accrued paid sick time. Must pay legally and withhold taxes
* 18 month minimum commitment is ideal (until child goes to preschool)

The Family: This busy family of four is seeking a fantastic nanny/family assistant to join their team! Their one year old is on the verge of walking. He is a sweet, curious boy who is eager to explore the world around him! His older brother attends preschool full time and will not require care. Mom is launching a law firm, and needs some help with setting up and maintaining organizational systems around their home in addition to childcare.
Mom takes the older child to preschool around 8:30-9:30am just before the younger child takes his morning nap.
The family has a cat in the home (for any nannies with allergy considerations).
The Job Description:
The nanny will be responsible for ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for the children. In addition to general care, job duties will include:
- Providing age appropriate activities and stimulating play
- Helping the child to meet developmental milestones
- Helping to facilitate naps and maintain preferred nap schedules
- Diapering/general hygiene
- Preparing and feeding bottles, snacks, and meals
- Getting outside for walks and play
- Daily tidying of spaces used throughout the day, including things like dishes used, wiping down highchairs, cleaning up spills, and putting away toys
- Upon arrival each day: tidy up breakfast, discuss with mom priorities for organization for the day
- Helping family create and implement organizational systems around the house that are easy to maintain for family, whether that’s taking the lead or working together with mom, mom to occasionally delegate and nanny to take the lead on certain spaces such as the play areas
Nanny Attributes/Qualifications/Requirements:
Their ideal nanny has a minimum of two years of relevant childcare experience including family assisting (or demonstrated experience with organizational systems), and is reliable, nurturing, and a good communicator. They should be current with immunizations including Covid booster, Tdap, and annual Influenza. The nanny should also be current with their infant and child CPR/First Aid Certification. No driving on the job is required.
