This is an hourly contracted position with primary responsibility of providing supplemental tutorial support to eligible Title I private school students in the areas of reading, writing and math.
Under the general supervision of the assigned private school administrator with direct supervision from Seattle Public Schools’ Title I office, tutors are assigned to Title I students, not classrooms. Tutors do not provide classroom support.

High school diploma (or GED equivalent) and AA degree or two years of college (72 quarter or 48 semester hours). At least one-year experience working with school-aged children.
PREFERRED: Previous experience teaching students skills/strategies/content in reading, math, or writing who are performing below grade level;
SUBSTITUTIONS: Additional qualifying work experience may substitute for the education requirement on a year to year basis.
CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES: Washington state business license
- This contracted services position will be filled on an as-needed basis; a Washington Business License and completion of a Personal Services Contract are required.
