Job Description:
- We are expanding and looking for a highly organized, friendly, and professional Medical Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing excellent customer service and administrative support. The Medical Receptionist will handle patient inquiries, schedule appointments, manage patient records, and assist with various office tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our clinic.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check-in patients and visitors with a warm and welcoming demeanor
- Schedule new and existing patient appointments
- Answer all phone calls, screen and direct calls, take messages and provide information
- Return all voice messages
- Manage patient records, including updating personal information and maintaining confidentiality
- Process patient payments and handle billing inquiries
- Assist with insurance verification and authorization processes
- Maintain patient files, ensuring accurate and up to date information
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely and efficient patient care
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area and waiting room
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the clinic, such as faxing, scanning, filing and other office duties
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure patient satisfaction
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1-year proven experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role in a healthcare setting
- Additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus
- Phlebotomy or medical assistant experience a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, and scheduling systems
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other office software
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
- Compassionate and patient-focused attitude

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
