What are the responsibilities and job description for the Budtender/Sales Associate position at Seattle Retail Cannabis Shop?
We’re hiring for a sales associate with a passion for cannabis knowledge and excellent customer service skills. Budtenders are responsible for every part of the guest experience from greeting & checking IDs to product consultation and sales. Knowledge and conformity with Retail Cannabis regulations is of upmost importance and will be reviewed during training and quarterly employee reviews.
We are only looking for budtenders who are willing to go above and beyond just selling product. We are searching a responsible self-starter who will take initiative and handle assigned tasks quickly and efficiently. As a smaller shop, we value teamwork and accountability. If you are looking for a budtending job where slacking off is the norm, this is not the job for you. We are fair and understanding but expect a high level of performance not only with customer service, but with all of the other responsibilities associated with the position, i.e. light cleaning, stocking of product, proper cash handling, following all established procedures on a consistent basis.
Job Duties:
· Greeting customers as they enter the store and determining their needs
· Operate Greenbits P.O.S. accurately and efficiently
· Accurate cash handling
· Check ID’s accurately per WSLCB standards
· Maintain knowledge of State and Federal Laws pertaining to Cannabis
· Remain courteous and uphold professional standards during customer interactions
· Dispense cannabis and cannabis-related products accurately
· Willingness to build knowledge specific to products we carry
· Educating customers on cannabis products and paraphernalia
· Maintaining stock on floor
· General cleaning tasks-sweeping, trash removal, cleaning and organizing of break area, cleaning and organizing display cases..
Job Requirements:

Working Days:
· 30 - 40 hours, evenings and weekends while being willing to cover call-ins from coworkers and other situations as they arise.
Typical Start Time:
· Morning shift: 9am-5pm
· Mid shift: 12pm-8pm
· Evening shift: 2/3pm-10/11pm
