Country Doctor Community Health Centers (CDCHC) is a not-for-profit organization that operates two primary care clinics, an After-Hours Clinic, two School-Based Health Centers, a low barrier Medication-assisted treatment clinic, and a Dental Clinic. Our Carolyn Downs Family Medical Center was founded in 1970 by the Seattle Black Panther Party in Seattle’s Central District. Our Country Doctor Community Clinic was established in 1971 by residents of the Capitol Hill neighborhood in conjunction with the Seattle Liberation Front. The primary goal of each clinic was to provide low-barrier, high-quality healthcare services and promote social justice.

JOB SUMMARY:

Our Sexual Health Program is integrated within our primary care clinics, providing high quality sexual health care to diverse communities of patients. We are hiring a passionate and mission-driven Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) for the position of Sexual Health Provider to improve access to timely sexual health services for new and established patients. This position will be primarily based at our Carolyn Downs Family Medical Center (CDFMC) primary care location and may also be a resource for patients from across the organization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Board-certified or Board-eligible Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) in a relevant specialty
• Licensed in Washington State
• Superb clinical judgment and patient-centered interpersonal skills
• Enthusiastic and creative approach to solving problems and improving patient care
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
• Experience with electronic health records (Epic preferred) and ability to adapt to new and evolving information systems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least two years of post-graduate experience in a fast-paced, outpatient setting, providing sexual and reproductive health care for culturally, economically, and linguistically diverse patients
• Personal and/or professional experience working with communities of color, immigrant and refugee communities, and LGBTQ communities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

In order to increase access to comprehensive, high-quality sexual and reproductive health care, the Sexual Health Provider will:

• Care for existing patients and new patients ages fourteen and higher who seek the following services:
  • Sexual and reproductive health care for conditions including but not limited to HIV, Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP), doxycycline for Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (doxy-PEP), and diagnostic evaluation and treatment for Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)
  • Gender-affirming care for patients who identify as transgender or non-binary
  • Procedures related to sexual and reproductive health such as Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC) placement and removal, endometrial biopsy, colposcopy, skin biopsy, and skin excision
• Connect new patients to a Seattle Roots primary care provider (PCP) for health care needs beyond the scope of the Sexual Health Provider and ongoing primary care
• Coordinate care for established patients with primary care providers (PCPs), clinical support staff, and ancillary services
• Consult with and support clinical colleagues across sites and roles as needed
• Chart all medical encounters according to organizational standards
• Participate in organizational quality improvement activities
• Complete training and continuing medical education to maintain credentialing, licensure, and board certification
• Participate in staff meetings and the performance evaluation process
• Mentor and precept fellow medical providers, residents, and medical students once sufficient experience is obtained, at the discretion of the Clinical Site Director and/or Residency Site Director
• Actively promote an anti-racist, equitable, and inclusive workplace

SCHEDULE:

The Sexual Health Provider - ARNP will have a regular weekly schedule of at least 8 four-hour shifts per week (0.8 FTE). Work locations will include both CDFMC and the After-Hours Clinic (AHC) and may include shifts at Country Doctor Community Clinic (CDCC) by mutual agreement. This schedule will include two weekday evening AHC shifts per week. Additional shifts may be available if desired.

SALARY:

ARNP: $124,114 - $165,048, prorated ($99,291 - $132,038 for a 0.8 FTE - 8 clinic shifts per week). Our salaries are on a step system based on years of experience and are not negotiable.
