Salary: $22.29 – 33.28 per hour, payable bi-weekly. The salary scale for this position is between steps 0 and 19, depending on experience. This is a union position. This position has variable hours and is paid on an hourly basis. Applicants must pass an extensive background check. About Us
Seattle Roots Community Health is a not-for-profit organization that operates two primary care clinics, an After-Hours Clinic, two School-Based Health Centers, a low barrier Medication-assisted treatment clinic, and a Dental Clinic. Our Carolyn Downs Family Medical Center was founded in 1970 by the Seattle Black Panther Party in Seattle’s Central District. Our Country Doctor Community Clinic was established in 1971 by residents of the Capital Hill neighborhood in conjunction with the Seattle Liberation Front. The primary goal of each clinic was to provide low-barrier, high-quality healthcare services and promote social justice.

What You’ll Be Doing
Through efficient maintenance of patient's medical records, you can play a significant role in facilitating the delivery of high-quality healthcare services to the patients of Country Doctor Community Health Centers. Your clerical support to the medical and outreach staff can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.
Minimum Requirements:
- You have a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent certificate.
- You can use a computer proficiently and use MS Word, Excel, and various computer software programs.
- You can maintain strict confidentiality, security, and physical safety measures to safeguard the patient's medical records in accordance with HIPPA standards.
- You can manage incoming faxes and mail with patient medical records, filing in EPIC, and routing for signatures. Also, process requests for information and release according to statutes.
- Retrieving archived paper charts for providers and other staff as needed. Ensuring maintenance of medical records archives and document releases and communications appropriately in the electronic health record
Preferred Qualifications
- You had one year of medical records experience.
- You had experience using an EMR system, preferably EPIC.
Benefits
This position is not eligible for benefits, except for Seattle Sick and Safe Leave.
