ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Maintain all food presentation on the hot line
- Make sure every item is garnished
- Every item is presentable and desirable
- Clean up any spilled food
- Maintain all food presentation on the cold bar
- Make sure every item is stocked and presentable
- Make sure every item has the proper serving utensils
- Stock all beverage coolers throughout the entire facility
- This includes but is not limited to the beverage coolers in the dining room, conference rooms, private offices, common areas, locker rooms and break rooms
- Maintain and stock all break rooms throughout the facility
- Taste all prepared food items and know all allergens and cooking techniques associated with each menu item
- Helps Nutrition team as needed
- Smoothie production and stocking smoothie bar
- Making snacks
- Ensure all equipment is cleaned and sanitized daily
- Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat
- Ensure food and supply items are stocked and stored per kitchen standards
- Monitor mealtimes so that everything goes smoothly
- Follow closing procedures to ensure dining room is clean and ready for the next service
- Assist in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required
- Report needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately
- Attend in-service and safety meetings
- Previous food service experience
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed
- ServSafe certified
- Washington Food Handlers Permit
- Discreet, ethical and committed to maintaining a high degree of confidentiality
- The ability to work under pressure, prioritizing tasks and juggling many jobs simultaneously
