Summary
The Seahawks Social Media Internship is a hands-on program designed to develop digital media professionals in the sports industry. The intern will assist the digital media team with the ideation, development and distribution of content for Seahawks social channels across various platforms, as well as ancillary accounts like Lumen Field, Seahawks Pro Shop and more. This role will also assist in the development of digital features for the 2025 season for our Corporate Partnerships team to sell. This is a six-month internship beginning in March and ending at the conclusion of Training Camp in late August.
By the end of the internship, and in accordance with their strengths and desire to build their weaknesses, the intern will have the opportunity to have first-hand experience in social media content, photography, videography, design, project management and more.
The intern will be expected to learn heavily through experience, and extensive resources will be available to facilitate the process at the intern’s initiative.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Collaborate with the digital media team in developing content plans for various stories, events and other opportunities throughout the offseason
- Build out campaigns within a project management tool and help facilitate the project from ideation to completion
- Assist in the creation of new social features and refinement of existing features, increasing engagement while also appealing to corporate partners for sponsorship
- Actively participate in social media monitoring and engagement with fans
- Manage various tasks for key tentpole offseason moments, including the NFL Draft, Schedule Release, Minicamp, Media Day and more
- Provide live social media coverage of fan/community events as assigned
- Evaluate key social media metrics to ensure effectiveness of accounts across all channels
- Work with internal departments (Public Relations, Corporate Partnerships, Community Engagement, Marketing, etc.) in fulfilling digital media needs as requested

- Be currently enrolled as a junior, senior or recent graduate (within 6 months) from a college or university. Graduate school students are eligible to apply as well
- Above average fluency in Instagram, TikTok, Twitter/X, Facebook and other popular social media platforms, as well as their analytics
- Experience managing social media for a team, brand or professional organization
- Basic understanding of Adobe products, particularly Photoshop and/or Premiere is a plus
- Ability to learn new tools quickly
- Excellent communication, collaboration and organizational skills
- Willingness to work non-traditional hours and some weekends when necessary
- Ability to work well under tight deadlines and thrive in the 24/7 NFL news cycle, handling multiple tasks at once with great attention to detail
- Interest and experience in the sports industry is a plus
