What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Associate position at SeaWeed Co.?
SeaWeed Co. has an immediate opening for detail oriented and professional Lab Technician at our extraction lab located in Auburn, Maine. Our extraction lab is focused on locally delivering the best industry-leading extraction services and the highest-quality cannabis products that can be offered.
As a Lab Technician, you need a strong attention to detail and an eye for quality control. You will frequently multitask, work quickly and efficiently, and be adaptable to changing priorities and tasks as needed. You will report directly to the Production Manager, and work on a team with other technicians to complete assigned tasks as directed.
Responsibilities:
- Package and label cannabis extracts, flower, cartridges, tinctures, edibles and more to meet daily production schedule for SeaWeed Co
- Perform quality assurance protocols as designated by SeaWeed Co. procedures
- Conduct visual inspections to ensure all products meet or exceed SeaWeed Co. specifications
- Ensure 100% compliance involving proper weighing, data recording, product tracking and security throughout the entire packaging process
- Precise tracking of all packaged product and weight(s) of product to be used for an accurate end of day reconciliation of packaged inventory and remaining inventory
- Consistently operate in an efficient manner that also complies with all Office of Cannabis Policy (OCP) regulations, SeaWeed Co. SOP's and all applicable required procedures
- Ensure each product is properly labeled in compliance with the ME Regulations
- Work in a quick and efficient manner and strive to consistently increase productivity
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the packaging spaces and rooms while performing all duties
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be over 21
- Individual Identification Card issued by the Office of Cannabis Policy of Maine
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a comparable manufacturing environment
- Previous experience in cannabis preferred but not required
- Team player and experience working on a diverse team
- High attention to detail and organization
- Effective at completing monotonous activities while maintaining quality and minimal errors
- Comprehension of basic instructions and feedback to perform job accurately and efficiently
- Reading comprehension to follow Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) manuals
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. repeatedly and up to 80 lbs. on occasion
