What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Supervisor, Camps (Overnight) San Antonio position at SeaWorld San Antonio?
This position will run May 1 - August 15, 2025. To be considered for this position, applicants will need to be available to live onsite in our dorm facility throughout the duration of the program.

As an Associate Supervisor for the Resident camp programs, you’ll make a significant contribution to our overall camper experience by helping train and mentor camp counselors; supervise the day-to-day operations of the camp programs; and create a healthy and safe environment for both campers and staff. In all you do, you’ll enthusiastically represent SeaWorld by displaying a positive attitude, high level of energy and commitment to quality. You will also:
Conducts camp counselor performance evaluations and provides coaching
Participates in staff training.
Supervises and is responsible for day-to-day operations, scheduling, and logistics of camp programs
Monitors the health and safety of campers and camp counselors
Responsible for overnight operation of the Resident Camp programs as the Duty Manager
Ensures excellent customer service by responding to customer requirements, expectations, and needs
Monitors and enforces all SeaWorld and department policies
Adheres to ACA guidelines, SeaWorld Connections and standards
Transporting campers to and from airport as needed
Other duties as assigned.
What it takes to succeed:
You must be at least 21 years old
Have a high school diploma, or equivalent; Some college experienced is strongly preferred.
Have a minimum of 3-6 months experience as a camp director and/or assistant director and/or program activity director at a day or resident camp or equivalent counselor experience
Have a valid Texas driver’s license; visiting students and military must have valid driver’s license from state of residency with a good driving record and able to provide a copy of the DMV report
Have strong verbal and written communication skills
Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, camper-centric environment and able to interact and provide quality customer service to camper parents as needed
Be able to positively interact with guests and co-workers of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds and/or language, and individuals with special needs
Work well within a team structure
Be able to sit, stand and walk for prolonged periods of time
Be able to lift or move up to 40 lbs
Be able to work outdoors exposed to sunny, wet and humid conditions.
Be able to use computer and camp specific programs including CampDoc
Previous SeaWorld Day or Resident Camp Counselor experience strongly preferred
Have 5 days of unrestricted availability to include weekends, holidays, early mornings and late evenings
Flexibility in working varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
