Salary Range: $25/hr
What you’ll do?
Machine Operator is focused on operating and setting up complex machinery for specific fabrication of materials to deliver “just in time” for the use on the production lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proficient in all machines on the lean cells on the production lines.
- Adjusts machine settings to operate machinery in accordance with established procedures.
- Fitting, setting and loading of metal sheets in the machine.
- Ability to life more than 50 pounds continuously.
- May require use of power tools to grind or deburr sheet metal.
- Many other industry/trade specific responsibilities.
- Identify and report safety hazards in the workplace.
- Comply to Occupational Health and Safety rules.
- Understanding of machine safety, operation & lock out tagout.
- Familiar with machines such as (Punch Press, Press Brake, Turret, Roller, Shear etc.)
- First article inspection
- Communicate machine operation or parts defects.
- Determine sheet metal grade, finish, size, and gauge.
What you need to be successful in this role:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Prior machine operator experience (preferred)
- Prior knowledge of and experience working with sheet metal - stainless steel and cold rolled steel is required.
- Advanced mathematic skills to check tolerances and fractions.
- Advanced knowledge of measuring tools, calipers and how to use them properly is required.
- Requires precise actions and attention to detail.
- Read and interpret drawings.
- Read and understand work order routing/sequence.
- First Article validation on rapid inspection vision system.
- JDE, SharePoint
- Forklift Operator Certification
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to identify specialized machine tool used in manufacturing industries to cut and/or form material to a desired shape or profile.
- Operate Pallet Jacks (Manual / Electric)
- Tooling and Machine Setup
- Provide support to Level I Machine Operator.
- Use of power tools, deburr and sanders.
- Identifies metal fade, finish, size and gauge.
- Operation of Pres Brake, Punch Press, Turret, Roller, and Shear.

- Standing, Walking
- Manual dexterity
- Working in hot and cold environment
- Ability to Lift up to 50lbs occasionally
