Job Summary
The incumbent is responsible for managing and maintaining records for all individuals arrested in Sebastian County, ensuring compliance with county, departmental, state, and federal regulations. Key responsibilities include processing bookings, verifying inmate information, conducting warrant checks, and providing accurate information to authorized parties. The role also involves monitoring inmate court dates, tracking inmate movement, handling daily inmate mail, and ensuring proper documentation of protection orders and warrants. Additional duties include answering phones, maintaining facility logs, and performing other related tasks as required.
Minimum Entry Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED, with specialized education or training in areas such as data processing, clerical tasks, or equipment operation, plus 0 to 6 months of related experience or equivalent combination.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws related to law enforcement and inmate processing, with the ability to maintain accurate records and perform routine mathematical calculations.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with the public, clients, and employees, and critical thinking skills to follow instructions and resolve routine issues.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially, follow policies and procedures, and work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
