A Territory Manager is a field-based specialty pharmaceutical sales representative. The Territory Manager is responsible for regularly calling on health care professionals within a specific geographic region. The call points include physician offices, hospitals, pharmacies, and ambulatory care facilities. A Territory Manager’s day-to-day responsibilities consist of supporting the promotional efforts behind the Braintree Laboratories product line, which includes organizing, tracking, and supplying FDA regulated sample products to health care professionals. The Territory Manager maintains a current and competent level of the product line to be a reliable source of information to the health care professionals.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Effectively communicate with healthcare professionals demonstrating the features and benefits of our products. Engage in dialogue about clinical evidence, approved indications and product efficacy/safety profiles to support on label prescribing for appropriate patients.
- Function independently while using a wide variety of company provided promotional resources, analytical tools and resource personnel to maximize effectiveness in an assigned territory.
- Work with Regional Director/District manager to develop a local strategy and business plan with an in-depth knowledge of market, demographic, and managed care information to generate recognizable increases of sales in territory.
- Successfully complete all training requirements including product examinations. Attend company and industry seminars, trade shows and sales meetings as needed.
- Provide timely and competent administrative management of work hours, sales call data, customer objectives, communication responses, synchronization, sample and expense reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily, be flexible in terms of work hours, and have strong knowledge and experience in pharmaceutical or B2B sales. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.
- Bachelor’s degree – preferable with a health science or marketing/business major
- Two years of B2B outside sales experience
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Results orientated with demonstrated time/territory management skills
- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
Compensation: $75K plus quarterly bonuses
