What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Research Assistant position at SEC Clinical Research?
SEC Clinical Research (SECCR) is seeking a Research Assistant at our Dothan AL location. SECCR performs clinical trials under contract with multiple pharmaceutical companies assessing safety and effectiveness of new medications. We have multiple new studies starting in early 2025, and need more help!
Main responsibilities include assisting in the performance of research visits that include basic medical assessments, collection of specimens, performing ECGs/spirometry/other common tests, entering data into cloud based systems, interacting with multiple team members and pharamaceutical company representatives.
The ideal candidate will enjoy being challenged by new studies involving different patient populations and disease targets, multitasking, and have an excellent eye for detail. This is an on-site position, typically Mon-Fri although occasional evening and weekend work is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vital signs, ECGs, spirometry, phlebotomy
- Data entry into electronic charting systems
- Assist in addressing queries from research Sponsors
- Collaborate with the clinical and administrative team to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality patient care.
What We're Looking For:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required.
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience (research experience is a plus, but not required).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, can-do attitude with an eagerness to learn and grow in the field of clinical research.
- Team player who works well in a diverse, collaborative environment.
