JOB SUMMARY:
Coordinates and supervises Banquets and Catering functions at the hotel. Takes responsibility for setup duration, and breakdown for each event, and provides support and guidance to banquet staff throughout each function. Ensures all established service standards and procedures of the hotel are implemented consistently, leading to guest satisfaction, staff satisfaction, and profit for the hotel.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communication
· Communicates directly and consistently with Sales and Events Manager,
· Respond to all emails, calls, and texts completely and promptly
· Forward all guest feedback, compliments, and complaints to Sales and Events Manager.
· Manage time effectively and efficiently to complete all designated tasks in a timely manner.
Schedule
· Weekly and daily schedule to be determined by Sales and Events Manager, and is based upon the needs of banquet business.
Problem Solving
· It is the responsibility of the banquet captain to actively seek out answers or procedures that are unknown. The role of banquet captain is that of Problem Solver, and the Banquet Captain will independently research to discover answers for guest, staff, and vendor questions.
· Proactive and complete communication with all members of F&B/Banquet and Catering team is expected when problem solving for the hotel.
· Action and resolution will be in accordance with hotel policies and procedures.
· You will identify for yourself when you do not know how or lack the information to complete a task and communicate requests for assistance in a timely fashion. Alternate or creative solutions to complete tasks is expected when obstacles are met.
Shift and Staff Management
· Coordinate and complete all banquet setup and breakdown.
· Work with the Sales and Event Manager to further develop team members, including training of new hires.
· Maintain expert knowledge and execution of Hotel Policies and procedures and La Corsha Manual.
· Ensure checklists and cleaning lists are completed fully before and after each event.
· Continues position expectations for general shift management, ensuring activities of Banquets and Catering are of the highest quality and in accordance with La Corsha standards and procedures.

· Must be flexible to provide assistance to management team in a 24/7 operating environment
· Must have reliable transportation
QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum of high school diploma / equivalency or at least two years of progressive experience in a customer service, hospitality or a related field required
· Must possess English Language Skills sufficient to fully comprehend job assignments, including the ability to read, write and communicate in fluent English
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Working extended hours may be required as needed
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use repetitive wrist and finger movement, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Work on a computer
· Physical ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend, reach, carry, and lift up to 35 pounds.

Pay: $7.25 - $40.00 per hour
