Job Description
POSITION TITLE: Community Meals Inventory Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Providence Community Meals
REPORTS TO: Community Meals Chef
SUPERVISES None
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
BASIC FUNCTION: Assists with the preparation, organization, and implementation of high-quality food to agencies and wholesale customers with a wide variety of nutritional needs; assists with day-to-day operations in specific functions and work areas.

Essential Job Functions
· Supports the attainment of organizational goals by maintaining quality standards for food preparation and presentation, as well as cleanliness and sanitation. Maintains daily, weekly, and monthly food safety logs.
· Oversees student activity in the Kitchen by assuring that production needs are relayed to Community Meals Chef so that adequate prepped materials are available for production. Prepare all production for production.
· Coordinates the delivery and service of high-quality food to agencies with a wide variety of nutritional needs and dietary restrictions by following Providence recipe and procedure manuals.
· Assures accurate labeling of all Providence Community Meals foods.
· Maintain complete order, organization, and cleanliness of Community Meals storage spaces.
· Assists in compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations for the preparation, service, and nutritional content of food by assisting Chefs in kitchen sanitation program.
· Ensures safe work areas by complying with all OSHA, health, and sanitation regulations and requirements including, but not limited to, the implementation of safety, hazardous communication, fall prevention, and bloodborne pathogen programs, conducting accident/injury investigations, providing new employee orientation, and required in-service training.
· Communicates daily with Community Meals Chef and Cooks on what product is to be produced.
· Responsible for reporting daily production levels to Community Meals Chef. Check freezer daily based on placement of items, ensuring FIFO (First In First Out) product rotation.
· Assist in meal production, as needed, ensuring excellent food quality, accurate counts, and a unified team dynamic.
· Obtains ServSafe certification within six months of hiring.
· Obtains permission to operate forklift within six months of hiring.
· Oversee proper management of inventory.
· Help with cooking as directed.
· Assist in meal assembly, including traying meals and boxing, among other tasks as directed.
· Other tasks as directed.

Minimum education required: High School Diploma or GED or Equivalent Minimum experience preferred: Minimum of 3 years cooking experience in a food service operation, preferably in a variety of settings. Key Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required:

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
