What are the responsibilities and job description for the Site Monitor - Part Time Afternoons position at Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia?
The Kids Cafe program operated by Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia Food Bank provides free meals to low-income children through a variety of community locations where children already congregate—like Boys & Girls Clubs, YMCAs, churches, community centers and schools. In addition to providing meals to kids, Kids Cafe programs also offer a safe place, where under the supervision of trustworthy staff, a child can get involved in educational, recreational and social activities.
The Site Monitor will be visiting afterschool and summer programs where we serve meals to make sure they are operating safely and according to our guidelines. Site visits are required 3 times per school year per site. We currently serve a total of 85 sites. Typical schedule would be Monday-Friday 2-6PM.

Job Responsibilities:
- Complete required monitoring of sites to include identifying deficiencies, do follow up monitoring and effectively correct issues.
- Accurately and promptly complete and transmit site review reports and documentation to the food bank.
- Promptly notify supervisor of discrepancies or site problems.
You will need to provide your own transportation but you will be reimbursed for mileage according to the federal rate which is currently 70 cents per mile.
Criminal history background check including fingerprinting, and DMV records check required. Per state law, applicants with felony and certain misdemeanor convictions are not eligible for this position.
