What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape Maintenance Laborer position at Second Look Maintenance Inc?
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Landscape Maintenance Laborer is someone with little to no landscape experience willing to learn and grow with us. The position works as a member of the team, follows the Team Leaders instruction, assists completing jobs within specified hours, and works to exceed the customers' expectations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
_ Completes landscape maintenance duties such as but not limited to hedge/shrub trimming, spring clean-ups, fall clean-ups, edging/mulching, pruning, etc._ as instructed
_ Completes the job in the most time-efficient manner meeting the company productivity targets while meeting our quality standards_
_ Communicates well with Team Leader and supervisor_
_ Maintains a clean and safe job site at all times_
_ Ensures that all equipment safety and maintenance procedures are followed and notifies Team Leader of needed repairs_
_ Operates a variety of mechanical equipment including but not limited to chainsaws, hedge clippers, blowers, line trimmers, etc._
_ Snow removal and ice management during the winter months_
KNOWLEDGE and EXPERIENCE
_ This position requires little to no experience in the landscaping field_ but is a plus
_ Strong oral and written communication skills, time management, job planning skills, problem solving skills and mechanical aptitude are a _plus
_ Snow shovel/blower and plowing experience is a plus_
REQUIREMENTS
_ Positive attitude with appreciation and excitement towards the industry_
_ Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and under seasonal pressure_ is a must
_ Clean and professional appearance_
_ Punctual and dependable_ is a must
_ Reliable transportation to and from work_
_ Willing to work in a drug free workplace_
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
_ Typical spring through fall schedule: Monday-Friday Start Time 7:00am until route / scheduled project is completed or about 8-12 hours per day Saturday's as required_ (Hours very day to day)
_ 24 hour availability during winter months for snow and ice control_
_ Paid weekly, direct deposit is required_
