We are on a mission to grow Second Nature Brands 4x from $500MM to $1 B in the next 4 years through a combination of organic growth (increased distribution, e-commerce, and innovation) and through M&A. To ensure we're steady on that path, we are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Analyst to join our team. The EDI Analyst will play a vital role in managing and maintaining the electronic exchange of information between our company and its business partners.
Essential Duties:
- Develop and maintain EDI maps, including translation rules and processes, to facilitate the exchange of electronic data between our company and external trading partners for various transactions including 810, 850, 855, 856, 940, 945, 943, 214, 204
- Collaborate with various internal teams and external partners to gather and analyze business requirements, ensuring compliance with EDI protocols and standards.
- Monitor and troubleshoot daily EDI transactions, identifying and resolving any errors or discrepancies in a timely manner to ensure a smooth flow of information.
- Act as the SME related to EDI processes and procedures, including mapping specifications, data interchange agreements, and trading partner profiles. Create and document process flows and ways of working with both internal and external partners.
- Inform and educate cross functional teams regarding changes with EDI requirements, updates, or new news.
- Conduct end-to-end testing of EDI and integration projects, documenting test cases, scenarios, and results to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with trading partners for onboarding, map changes, and issue resolution.
- Summarize common trading partner issues to sales or customer service team and assist in resolution at the partner.
- Ensure compliance with EDI guidelines and standards, including data accuracy, data security, and data confidentiality.
- Assist IT in managing EDI projects, including system upgrades, implementations, and enhancements, ensuring successful completion within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Comply with all company Quality, HACCP, GMP and Food Safety Standards
Knowledge & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5 Years proven experience working as an EDI Analyst or in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of EDI protocols, standards, and best practices.
- Understanding of EDI standards (EDI X12) and data formats including ANSI EDI X12, JSON, XML.
- Understanding of AS2 and SFTP communication protocol
- Knowledge of consumer-packaged goods industry, particularly food manufacturing.
- Knowledge of manufacturing-specific EDI documents and transactions, such as purchase orders, invoices, and advanced shipping notices.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills to identify and resolve any EDI issues that may arise.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of database concepts and SQL query language a plus.
- Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
- Proven ability to apply analytical thinking to solve complex problems, comfortable with ambiguity.
- Ability to work well independently as well as contribute and thrive in a team environment.
