Second Nature Brands is on a mission to grow from $500M to $1B over the next 4 years through an aggressive combination of M&A and organic growth. To ensure we're steady on that path, we created the Supply Chain Analyst role. The focus of this role is to optimize the Supply Chain processes with deliverables of increasing efficiencies, reducing costs and reducing the cycle time to deliver product to our customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement within the Supply Chain
- Design and implement methods/models to gather Supply Chain data.
- Analyze data and identify key opportunities for improvement with associated measurement techniques to reduce cost and time to deliver to customer.
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to drive optimized inventory levels at 3PL, reduce lead times, and OTIF.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports to track supply chain performance.
- Manage specific projects within Supply Chain as needed.
- Work closely with 3PL to analyze Warehouse and Transportation data to ensure efficiency and budgetary constraints are met.
- Play a key role in analyzing spend data in the Logistics space with critical focus of reducing waste and costs ( eg Cost to Serve)
- Collaborate across departments to build and leverage relationships to drive the Supply Chain Analyst agenda.
- Play key role in driving the CI agenda for Supply Chain by providing Cost/Benefit analysis.
- Conduct regular reviews of Supply Chain Processes and make recommendations for streamlining and enhancements using data. Identify gaps in Supply and Demand and assist in delivering a robust S&OP process.
- Identify potential risks and help develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions in the supply chain. Participate in cross-functional projects to support business initiatives and process improvements.
- Build positive relationships across departments and business units
- In addition to the above responsibilities, this role may be required to assist in other activities as required by the business.
Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor s degree in supply chain management, Business, Logistics, or a related field.
- 3 years proven experience as a Supply Chain Analyst or in a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Excel skillset
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools (familiarity with ERPs, Catalyst, Sage X3, SAP, etc)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Preferred Qualifications include Certifications such as APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Six Sigma. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Preferred experience with international trade or Import/Export business.
- Metro-Detroit or Chicagoland homebase is preferred
