What are the responsibilities and job description for the Trade Promotions Analyst position at Second Nature Brands?
We are on a mission to grow Second Nature Brands 4x from $500M to $1 B in the next 4 years through a combination of organic growth (increased distribution, e-commerce and innovation) and through M&A. To ensure we’re steady on that path, SNB is seeking a motivated Trade Promotions Analyst to join our Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis Team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to work cross functionally with other teams and is passionate about making an impact on our business. As an analyst, you will be a liaison between our Sales & Finance teams,and will help drive growth and profitability with our trade spend categories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively forecast and manage sales incentives & promotions, commissions, and other sales & marketing spend and evaluate and optimize their effectiveness
- Will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing and Finance
- Will be responsible for maintaining systems & databases for tracking promotions as well as providing all necessary reporting for this activity
- Identify risks and opportunities within the sales and marketing spend categories.
- Support month-end accounting activities, including accurate accruals of customer trade spend
- Customer profitability analysis
- Financial liaison with our Marketing team to ensure optimization of their spend
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in trade promotions or related field within the CPG industry (food manufacturing preferred)
- Familiar with trade spend management software & databases
- Ability to multi-task and work cross-functionally within a fast-paced and results-oriented environment
- Effective communication skills with strong Microsoft Excel skills
