What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fitness Instructor position at Second Serve Tennis?
We’re looking for an inspiring, knowledgeable Group Fitness Instructor to lead small group strength, agility, and conditioning sessions for youth athletes and active adults. If you’re ready to help athletes build speed, power, balance, and confidence—on and off the court—you’ll thrive here.
Tennis experience is a plus, but not required. What matters most is your ability to energize a room, teach great form, and keep sessions both safe and challenging.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead small-group training sessions with a focus on strength, agility, balance, and mobility
- Modify exercises and progressions for different ages and ability levels (youth to adult)
- Foster an encouraging and inclusive workout environment
- Collaborate with our coaching staff to support well-rounded athletic development
- Bring energy, music, and motivation to every session

What We’re Looking For:
- Certification in personal training or group fitness (NASM, ACE, ISSA, etc. preferred)
- Experience leading group fitness or athletic conditioning classes
- Ability to connect with both youth athletes and adult clients
- Strong communication and coaching presence
- Weekday afternoon/evening and weekend morning availability
Starting Pay: $20 - $35 per hour, based on experience
