Job Summary:
Miller Grove ISD is seeking a dynamic and certified High School Science Teacher (9-12) to join our team. The ideal candidate will foster a positive and engaging learning environment, implement effective instructional strategies, and prepare students for academic success in science courses, including but not limited to Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Texas Educator Certification in Science (9-12) or be eligible for certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, or a related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for high school science courses.
- Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with TEKS.
- Utilize a variety of instructional methods to support student learning and critical thinking.
- Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting instruction as needed.
- Create a structured and positive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to support student achievement.
- Incorporate technology and hands-on activities to enhance instruction.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching high school science courses.
- Knowledge of instructional technology and laboratory safety procedures.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
