Summary:
As an Industrial Painter and Blast Cleaner you will be responsible for the surface preparation and application of protective coatings on a wide range of industrial components, ensuring compliance with OEM, SSPC, NACE, and ISO standards.
Essential Functions:
- Perform surface preparation using environmentally friendly media in engineered indoor blast rooms.
- Apply primers, epoxies, urethanes, and other protective coatings in climate-controlled spray booths.
- Ensure all work complies with SSPC, NACE, ISO, and customer specifications.
- Follow detailed written work instructions and production orders.
- Maintain equipment and ensure work areas are clean and organized.
- Conduct visual inspections and basic quality checks.
- Operate forklifts, cranes, and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Adhere to all safety standards and use proper PPE at all times.
Basic Skills:
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Attention to detail
- Basic understanding of industrial coating techniques
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Blueprint reading
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in industrial painting or blasting preferred
- Experience with forklifts and cranes is a plus
- Prior experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment is beneficial

Physical Requirements:
The Industrial Painter and Blast Cleaner role requires good manual dexterity, physical strength for lifting and carrying heavy parts up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, fine motor skills, visual acuity, spatial awareness, physical stamina, proficiency in using hand tools and equipment, and safety awareness to perform tasks accurately and safely.
Overtime / Travel Requirements:
Overtime (OT) will be required from time to time for short-term or long-term duration, as business needs mandate.
