What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate position at Secor Logistics?
Job Summary:
Receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Keep records and compile stock reports. Perform other related duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
Tasks
- Load and unload trailers and shipments.
- Safely secure freight in compliance with law.
- Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials.
- Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
- Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
- Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using computer.
- Maintain forklifts and other tools and equipment used in warehouse, by completing preventative maintenance requirements and arranging for necessary repairs.
Proficiency with the following:
- Warehouse Experience to include loading, unloading, and securing freight.
- Forklifts - Sit-down forklifts; Stand-up forklifts; Ride-on forklifts; Walk behind forklifts.
- RF Scanner to manage inventory.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Other Requirements
- Valid Driver License.
- Meets applicable guidelines of company’s insurers.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
Schedule
- Full-Time.
- Shift of 8 hours, or more.
- Overtime, when needed.
- Weekends, when needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
