We’re looking for a talented and detail-driven CAD, BOM & Rendering Designer to lead our technical design efforts and help bring our innovative shelter systems to life.
What You’ll Do:
- Create detailed ANSI-compliant drawings for custom fabric structures and wood frame components
- Develop and maintain 3D CAD models (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or equivalent)
- Build and manage accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for production and procurement
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and purchasing teams to ensure design accuracy and manufacturability
- Support R&D by prototyping new products and optimizing existing designs
- Produce high-quality renderings and visualizations for marketing, instructions, and client presentations
- Assist in document control and version management for all technical drawings
What You Bring:
- Minimum 5 years of experience preferred, especially in product design, construction, or manufacturing environments
- Proficiency in CAD software (preferably SolidWorks, Fusion 360, AutoCAD, or similar)
- Strong understanding of ANSI drawing standards and GD&T
- Experience creating and managing Bills of Materials
- Familiarity with construction techniques and manufacturing processes—particularly with wood, metal, and fabric components
- Bonus points for experience with rendering tools, Rhino, Blender, or similar visualization software
- A self-motivated, organized mindset with a collaborative spirit
Compensation: $70,000 – $80,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications
