Position Overview:
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Sales Account Manager to join our growing cannabis team. This role is focused on managing and nurturing existing retail store accounts within our wholesale network. The ideal candidate will be a relationship-builder who thrives on ensuring client satisfaction while identifying new opportunities to grow each account.
You’ll serve as the main point of contact for partner stores—overseeing their orders, supporting product education, delivering exceptional service, and strategically increasing account value through upselling and thoughtful product placement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management: Serve as the primary liaison for existing retail cannabis accounts, ensuring timely communication and high levels of service.
- Order Management: Oversee incoming orders, confirm accuracy, and follow through on fulfillment and delivery schedules.
- Deliveries (if applicable): Perform or coordinate product deliveries as needed, maintaining professionalism and compliance at all times.
- CRM Oversight: Maintain accurate and updated client information, communication history, and sales activity within the CRM system.
- Customer Support: Address client inquiries, issues, or concerns quickly and professionally, maintaining a high level of satisfaction and trust.
- Product Promotion: Educate accounts on new products and campaigns, sampling when appropriate and aligning offerings with each client’s customer base.
- Sales Growth: Proactively assess each account’s performance and identify ways to increase product commitments and boost sell-through.
- Reporting & Feedback: Collect market intelligence and feedback from accounts to share internally with marketing, production, and product development teams.
- Compliance: Ensure all activities adhere to state cannabis regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, account management, or client relations; cannabis industry preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Comfortable with CRM platforms, sales tracking, and inventory systems.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to build rapport with diverse clients.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while being a team player.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if deliveries are part of the role).
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and handle cannabis products responsibly and compliantly.
