This is an all-encompassing role that incorporates the management of client assignments, proactively identifying and participating in networking, and eventually business development activities.

- Conducting hands-on failure analysis investigations
- Planning and executing laboratory testing
- Conducting field inspections
- Collecting and analyzing mechanical system performance data
- Communicating with clients and counsel
- Reviewing and summarizing drawings, technical manuals, standards, and codes
- Assisting with the preparation of technical reports
- Assisting with the preparation of critique reports examining the conclusions of other experts
- Developing positive relationships with colleagues, peers, and clients
- Preparing for and attending hearings, depositions, trials, and mediations
- Managing the day-to-day requirements of multiple engagements
QUALIFICATIONS
PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mechanics, or Aerospace Engineering OR MS degree and 5 years of prior experience in engineering consulting
