General Description
We are looking for an individual to be part of a great team driving innovation for the Texas Secretary of State. This individual should be ready to roll up their sleeves to tackle challenging issues to modernize our agency. This individual will work as the glue for the IT Division for everything from administrative tasks to in depth analysis to help with problem solving.
Examples of Work Performed
- Work in a team-based Agile environment
- Maintain and process IT purchase requisitions and receiving reports. Manage annual maintenance records, renewals, purchase requisition statuses.
- Perform and maintain software and hardware inventory activities.
- Review device and software contracts and invoices.
- Management and coordination of calendars
- Event and activity planning for the division
- Use initiative, creativity, and explore new ideas to accomplish tasks.
- Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.
General Qualifications and Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited 4-year college or university in a technical field (transcripts are required).
- Minimum two years experience with general office procedures and processes.
- Minimum two years experience of customer service.
- Minimum two years experience clerical, administrative, and technical support work.
- Education and experience may be substituted for one another.
- Ability to work with users and IT staff in a professional and courteous manner, individually as well as in team settings.
- Multi-tasking using good organizational and problem-solving skills as well as excellent communication skills.
- Ability to write clear, accurate, and concise documentation of programs and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in operation IT environment
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and disciplines.
- Experience with the following:

o Texas CAPPS
