Job Skills / Requirements
The Accounts Receivable Specialist performs general bookkeeping duties, such as keeping accounting software logs updated, reconciling accounts, making bank deposits, recording cash receipts, and invoicing clients.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit recuring invoices for both commercial and government clients in compliance with contract terms and conditions
- Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients’ billing issues
- Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Prepare and submit remote bank deposits
- Participate in miscellaneous accounts receivable reporting and resolution of invoice payment issues
- Support monthly cash collection and forecasting goals while providing input to Executive Leadership for AR billed/unbilled reviews
- Work hand in hand with internal and external customers involving any invoice-related AR questions
- Participate in month-end AR metrics reporting and any other special projects as needed
Required Skills/Abilities:
- 3 – 5 years billing experience in a service-related business
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- The ability to handle multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent verbal, written communication skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must possess the visual acuity necessary to prepare records
- Must possess the manual dexterity to operate standard office, data entry, and computer equipment
- Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of fingering, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motions.
Education and Experience:
- Business related bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
