Job Skills / Requirements
Experience:
- Ability to walk, stand or sit for extended periods of time
- Patrol and monitor assigned area
- Must demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a Team.
- Must be able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects, and have a strong attention for detail
- Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the public in a professional and effective manner
- Effectively and efficiently screen and process visitors
- Identify, report, or delay persons who violate rules and regulations
- Conduct internal and external roving foot patrols
- Be fully familiar with building layout, floor plans, manual fire alarm locations, fire extinguisher locations, Automated External Defibrillator (AED) locations, emergency routes, and evacuation assembly points.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Georgetown University Police Department
