What you will do:
The Sr. Partner Relationship Manager (PRM) of Hospitality will independently facilitate building and maintaining strategic partnerships focusing on the hospitality and entertainment sectors, including hotels, restaurants, Theaters/Arts, Recreation and community organizations. This role is pivotal in building partnerships with business owners and organizations to promote our credit union's products and services to their employees and clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, excellent communication skills, and a passion for fostering relationships within the hospitality and entertainment industries. Our objective is to financially educate, reengage, and inform our partners about the benefits they have access to, including membership access.
As a trusted advisor, the Senior Partner Relationship Manager (Sr. PRM) will consult with business owners, HR managers, and employees to identify suitable products and services and foster mutually beneficial relationships. The Sr. PRM must adhere to their ambassador’s company policies, collaborate with decision-makers, and stay well-informed about the relevant regulations in their sector during interactions.
In addition to acting as a business product expert, this individual will serve as a role model for member advisor roles, facilitating connections with the State of Maryland and all its hospitality entities that qualify. While the primary focus of the Sr. PRM is on our hospitality portfolio, they will also support the Business Development team, helping the community and university teams achieve their performance goals.
The Sr. PRM will collaborate with internal partners to achieve membership goals and enhance the credit union’s presence within the State of Maryland Hospitality Industries. This role involves engaging in community activities and building networks that support the well-being of the communities served by these ambassadors. The Sr. PRM is responsible for actively managing the member experience and promoting SECU’s various delivery channels. Sr. PRMs are expected to maintain a thorough knowledge of SECU’s products and services and are accountable for their conduct and performance in alignment with SECU's Code of Conduct.
The Sr. PRM adheres to regulations and organizational policies, maintaining awareness and knowledge required to perform the duties of the position, including all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act and related regulations, such as OFAC, and the USA Patriot Act, Fair Lending and Information Security.
Location: This is a versatile, hybrid role with the flexibility to work remotely from a home-based office or from any SECU Financial Center. In addition to remote work and Financial Centers, this position requires travel to various offsite locations for partnership events and university activities.
Schedule: This role requires flexibility, as event times may vary from mornings to evenings, including weekends. The Sr. PRM may utilize scheduled time off to balance work and event commitments. Typically, events like tabling or networking occur from Tuesday to Saturday, though some may also be scheduled on Mondays and Sundays. Senior PRMs can modify their weekly schedules to meet departmental and credit union needs, foster partnerships, and accommodate personal priorities, thereby promoting a healthy work-life balance.

What we need from you.
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or an equivalent experience preferred
- Successful qualification and registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) is required for the negotiation of loan applications secured by real property
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 5- 7 years of experience in business development, management, sales, or account management, preferably within the hospitality and entertainment industries.
- Outbound business development and sales experience, preferably in the financial services industry.
- An established book of business and/or robust network of COIs is preferred
- Experience with effective and impactful sales, interviewing, and negotiation techniques to align with member needs
- Proven track record of building successful partnerships and driving revenue growth.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse members and ambassadors
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. -preferred
Compensation Information: Offers will be commensurate with experience and education. Please Note: We typically hire at or below mid-point, which is $115,100 for this role.
- Salary: Min. $88,500 – Max. $141,700
