We are currently looking for a Technical Project Manager to join our team who will do the following:
- Provide guidance to team members and interact directly with the customer, product owners and contributors, managers and users for these projects
- Keep engineers on task to ensure that projects remain on schedule and deadlines are met
- Support performance planning and assessments for direct reports
- Help lead and manage scrum meetings, sprint planning, and sprint retrospectives
- Build relationships across teams to understand various technological needs
- Identify, plan for and communicate technical risk factors and roadblocks between engineering and the rest of the company
Interested candidates must have the following:
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- A minimum of 5 years of experience leading diverse technical teams, while serving as the primary point of contact for all technical matters
- Experience facilitating reviews with government customers to validate requirements, prioritize program backlog requirements into sprint backlogs, validate design allocation, (i.e. validate developed system iteratively, i.e. sprint reviews)
- Experience managing budgets, plans, teams and complex time-sensitive deliverables and deadlines
- Understanding of network technologies (including routing, switching, firewalls, load balancers, VoIP, wireless, network access control, TCP/IP, traffic analysis tools, TAPs, traffic brokers)
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies (applications, servers, networks, storage)
- Agile or scrum experience
- The ability to work well across departments and in a team environment
- Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels of an organization
- Familiarity with SDLC concepts
- Excellent personal, verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem solving, analytical and communication abilities
- Track record of leading, thinking strategically, innovating, acting with integrity and exceeding client expectations
- Willingness to roll up sleeves and "do whatever it takes" with a high attention to detail
- The ability to successfully obtain and maintain a U.S. Suitability/Public Trust Background Clearance
If you have any of the following, it would be a bonus:
- Experience with Cisco and/or Juniper or equivalent
- Familiarity with enterprise management and performance engineering concepts
- CISSP Certification
- ITIL v3 Concepts or certification
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent project or program management certification
- Active US Secret or Top Secret clearance
