Job SummaryWe are seeking a proactive and technically skilled L1 Support Engineer with experience in firewalls and networking to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing first-level support for network and security infrastructure, troubleshooting issues, and escalating complex problems to higher support tiers. This role is critical in maintaining secure and reliable network operations.Key ResponsibilitiesNetwork Support : Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.Assist in the configuration and maintenance of network devices, including switches, routers, and access points.Firewall Management : Monitor and respond to alerts from firewall systems.Assist in implementing firewall rules, policies, and VPN configurations.Perform basic troubleshooting for firewall-related issues.Incident Management : Act as the first point of contact for network and security incidents.Log, prioritize, and resolve tickets within defined SLAs.Escalate complex issues to L2 / L3 support or vendors as needed.Documentation and Reporting : Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, incidents, and resolutions.Generate and submit regular network health and security reports.Collaboration : Work closely with the IT team to ensure seamless operations and quick resolution of issues.Assist with on-site network installations or maintenance as needed.Compliance and Security : Adhere to organizational security policies and best practices.Assist in ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, PCI DSS).Key Skills and QualificationsEducation : Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.Technical Skills : Basic understanding of network protocols (TCP / IP, DHCP, DNS, etc.).Hands-on experience with firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, or similar).Knowledge of VPNs, NAT, and firewall rule creation.Familiarity with monitoring tools and ticketing systems.Soft Skills : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Certifications (Preferred) : CompTIA Network CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)Fortinet NSE1 / NSE2 or equivalent certifications.#J-18808-Ljbffr
