L2 Security Engineer

Job Responsibilities :

Security Engineer is responsible to :

• Implement and update security procedures in accordance to information security policies and guidelines.
• Manage and operate security solutions including Syslog servers, SIEM, and Privilege user management.
• Review and conduct risk assessments on firewall and VPN access requests.
• Conduct log / access reviews as per contractual requirements.
• Configure firewall rules.
• Evaluate and recommend new / upgraded software and hardware for the protection of information systems.
• Perform risk assessments on critical information security assets to identify threats and vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate mitigation controls.
• Conduct security audits, reviews, and assessments to identify weaknesses and vulnerabilities, ensuring they are resolved in a timely manner.
• Respond to security incidents following established procedures and technology.
• Monitor, analyze, and report security threats, incidents, and vulnerabilities to information systems.
• Work closely with network, system administrators, and application development teams to ensure security policies are being followed.
• Monitor and announce security advisories to network and system administrators on security alerts and new / zero-day vulnerabilities.
• Support internal and external audit exercises for the maintenance of various certifications and contractual requirements.
• Stay abreast of security technological advancements, emerging information security standards, and new security software or hardware solutions.
• Handle Change Requests, Service Requests, and Incidents.
• Plan maintenance for all security equipment for patching.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
