Job Title: Residential Security Officer (2nd Shift)
Location: Downtown Mag Mile, Chicago, IL
Employment Type: Part-Time
Shift: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday, 5:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Pay Rate: $16.20 per hour
Job Overview:
We are looking for a dependable and professional Residential Security Officer to work in the Downtown Mag Mile area. This position involves overseeing the package room and front desk of a residential building during the evening hours. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, a keen eye for detail, and proven experience in security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control access to the residential building, ensuring only authorized individuals enter.
- Oversee the package room, ensuring that deliveries are logged, stored securely, and distributed appropriately.
- Greet residents and visitors in a professional manner, providing assistance as needed.
- Conduct regular patrols of the building and its surroundings to maintain a secure environment.
- Respond promptly to any security incidents or emergencies, following established procedures.
- Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, visitor check-ins, and any incidents.
- Ensure that the front desk area is orderly and presentable at all times.
- Work closely with building management and residents to address any security concerns.
Qualifications:
- Active PERC Card (Permanent Employee Registration Card) is required.
- 20-Hour Security Training Certificate is required.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Must pass a drug screening and background check.
- Proven experience as a Security Officer, preferably in a residential setting.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of alertness.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Must be physically able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
