Job Title: Part-Time Foot Patrol Security Officer
Location: Oak Park, IL
Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour
Shift Schedule: Saturdays and Sundays, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, plus holidays
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Part-Time Foot Patrol Security Officer to join our team in Oak Park, IL. The primary responsibility of this position is to patrol assigned areas on foot, observe and report any security risks or safety hazards, and provide a visible security presence. This position offers an opportunity to work on weekends and holidays with a consistent schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct foot patrols of designated areas to monitor and assess the security of the property.
- Observe and report any suspicious activity or safety hazards.
- Communicate effectively with residents, employees, and visitors, providing a professional security presence.
- Respond to emergencies and incidents, taking appropriate actions to address the situation.
- Write clear and accurate reports documenting daily activities, incidents, and observations.
- Monitor and control access to the premises, preventing unauthorized entry.
- Maintain a high level of visibility to deter criminal activity and provide a sense of security.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to security and safety.
Qualifications:
- 20-Hour Certificate: Completion of a 20-hour security training course.
- PERC Card: Ability to obtain a valid Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC).
- High School Diploma: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Drug Screening and Background Check: Must pass a drug screening and background check.
- Language Proficiency: Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Work Authorization: Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Physical Fitness: Physically capable of standing or walking for up to 8 hours per shift.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods (up to 12 hours).
- Ability to respond to physical demands during emergencies.

- Compensation: The hourly rates specified in this job posting apply exclusively to this position. Securatex may offer other assignments with different pay rates. All required training is compensated for at no less than the state minimum wage.
