Job Description: School Security Officer
Location: Country Club Hills
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Plus events)
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Help monitor and secure school premises, and assist with the safety and well-being of students, staff, and visitors.

Conduct periodic patrols throughout the school and campus areas.

Assist with access control.
- Assist in conflict resolution and help enforce school policies.
- Collaborate with school administration to address any security concerns or incidents.
- Report incidents, concerns, or emergencies to the appropriate school personnel.

Provide event security as needed outside of regular school hours.

These positions are primarily Monday Through Friday Day Shift and afternoon shifts for special events.

Supervise assigned areas.

Assist the public with directions.

Maintain a high level of visibility and awareness at all times.

Report breaches of security to Principal and Supervisor immediately.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid PERC card.
- Completed 20 hours of basic security training.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Reliable transportation to and from the site.
- Must pass a drug screening and background check.
- Proven experience in school security.
- Must be able to use a computer and other forms of technology

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle situations calmly and effectively in a school environment.
Hours are variable and can change based on the needs of the business.
