Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Access Control/Low Voltage Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in Access Control systems, including cabling and low voltage installations. This role involves working with various power and hand tools, interpreting schematics, and installing Access Control and gate operator systems to ensure optimal functionality and security for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems including Access Controls, gate operators, and Barrier arms.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and detect issues within low voltage systems.
- Work with cabling infrastructure, ensuring proper installation techniques are applied for optimal performance.
- Interpret schematics and blueprints to execute installations accurately.
- Employ power tools and hand tools safely and effectively during installation and maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding low voltage systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Access Control Technician or similar role is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with various telecommunication systems.
- Familiarity with cabling techniques, low voltage installations, and surveillance system setups.
- Proficient in reading schematics and blueprints related to electrical systems.
- Ability to use power tools and hand tools safely in a work environment.
- Relevant certifications in low voltage installation or telecommunications are a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and clients.
- Welding knowledge a plus but not required
