Overview:
We are looking for a highly organized and knowledgeable Training Specialist to join our team on a part-time, in-person basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for training employees on company programs, software systems, and effective communication practices. This role will focus on helping new hires and current employees learn the processes, systems, and tools specific to our mortgage company, ensuring that all team members are proficient and confident in their roles. Key Responsibilities:
Training Development & Delivery:
- Develop and deliver engaging, hands-on training sessions on company-specific mortgage programs, software systems, and tools.
- Train new hires and existing employees on internal programs, CRM systems, loan origination software (LOS), and other tools used in daily operations.
- Conduct training on effective communication techniques, including client interactions, internal team collaboration, and email etiquette.
Program Proficiency & Support:
- Ensure that all employees are proficient in navigating company systems, using technology tools efficiently, and following operational procedures.
- Monitor employee progress during training and provide additional support or clarification as needed.
- Provide one-on-one coaching or additional sessions for employees struggling with particular programs or processes.
Communication & Collaboration:
- Conduct training sessions that emphasize the importance of effective communication with clients, co-workers, and management.
- Ensure employees understand communication protocols, including client calls, emails, and handling inquiries.
- Help employees develop strong interpersonal communication skills that will improve teamwork and customer relationships.
Training Resources & Materials:
- Develop and maintain clear, user-friendly training materials, such as guides, videos, and documentation, that employees can reference when using company systems.
- Update training content regularly to reflect any system or program updates, process changes, or industry regulations.
- Coordinate with management to ensure training is aligned with company goals and objectives.
Performance Tracking & Feedback:
- Track employee performance during training sessions and provide feedback to help them improve their skills.
- Adjust training materials or methods based on employee feedback and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with managers to identify areas where additional training may be needed and implement plans accordingly.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in training, teaching, or a similar role, ideally in the mortgage or financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of mortgage industry processes, products, and systems (such as loan origination software and CRM tools).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
- Ability to design training materials and courses, including written guides, presentations, and video tutorials.
- Proficiency in using digital training tools and software.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and engage with employees at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple training sessions simultaneously.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in training, teaching, or instructional design, preferably within the mortgage or financial services industry.
- Experience with mortgage software, CRM systems, and operational procedures is highly desirable.
