Purpose
Secure Shredding and Recycling (SSR) is committed to protecting its clients’ confidential information by providing NAID-certified services such as shredding, record destruction, and e-waste recycling. Due to the growing demand for our services, we are looking to grow our team by adding a Route Driver. The Route Driver will be based out of our Alexandria office and will be dispatched to a daily schedule of customer stops. Customer stops include doctor’s offices, hospitals, banks and many other professional settings. While on-site, the driver is expected to conduct himself/herself with utmost level of professionalism and the utmost level of care when handling customer documents and other materials.

Role and Responsibilities
- Maintain confidentiality and care when handling customer sensitive information.
- Use the shred truck to shred documents on-site and/or use the shred truck to transport confidential documents back to the warehouse.
- Display a customer-first attitude at all times.
- Undergo training on all relevant company software programs.
- Complete company-mandated paperwork regarding customer service requests (issues with containers), services performed, etc.
- Serve as a liaison between customer and office which requires communicating any on-site service issues to the office staff.
- Comply with all appropriate safety practices and procedures according to applicable federal, state, local, and company codes/regulations/ requirements.
- Maintain open lines of communication with other team members as necessary.
- Display a commitment to safety at all times especially when driving company vehicle to and from customer sites.
- Perform all required safety checks (pre/post trip) including inspections of truck.
- Maintain a clean truck.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required skills and qualifications
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently so as to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and team members.

- Must have and maintain a current valid driver's license.
- Must have and maintain a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 3 years commercial driving experience.
- CDL Class B or CDL D ONLY
- The ability to pass a background, a drug screen, and a DOT Physical.
- Have a positive and supportive attitude.
- Have a neat and clean appearance.
- Self-motivated with a passion for excellence and self-improvement.
