Job Summary

We are seeking a courteous and friendly Transport Driver who can deliver consistent excellent customer service. Drivers must assist clients getting in and out of the vehicle and assist clients with a "through the door" service. Applicants must have a flexible work schedule, to accommodate the business need.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Responsible for pre-inspection checks on all vehicles being driven
• Make sure all items or any other devices are stored away properly
• Drive clients to and from destinations in a safe and reliable manner
• Ensure timely pick-up and drop off
• Assist with safe loading and unloading
• Report any noticeable care concerns
• Provide wheelchair and/or special needs assistance
• Provide effective communication to the member, client, and management
• Provide outstanding customer service which align to our values
• Be sensitive to the special needs of our members
• Complete required safety vehicle inspections
• Utilize internal reporting APP

Education & Training

• High school graduate or GED equivalent is preferred but not required
• Valid state driver's license or commercial driver's license
• Certified clean driving record
• Drivers should be familiar with Mattapan and the surrounding areas.

Knowledge and Experience

• Experience driving corporate clients and paratransit vehicles are a plus.
• Must have a driver's license for at least five (5) years with no more than one (1) moving violation or one (1) at fault accident in the last three (3) years.
• Applicants must be familiar with using cellular phones and navigating around areas using a GPS.
• Experience working with the elderly population

Working Conditions

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must provide a current driving record printout when applying (Valid 30 days from date of application)
• Valid Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Must pass pre-employment screening which includes, but is not limited to Criminal Background Check, Physical, Drug & Alcohol Screening and other requirements
• COVID vaccinations and Boosters, proof of vaccinations will be required

Physical Requirements

Driver must be able to pass the physical test:

• Lift up to 50 LBS, push up to 150 LBS
• Bend from the waist
• Pivot from waist
• Be able to move from a standing position to kneeling position back to standing
